Footage has captured the heart-racing moment a human catapult was launched from a 876-foot bridge over a national park.

They break their parachute free to try and steady their approach.
The catapult gave approximately 8.8 seconds until impact.
Thousands of spectators are said to have filled the New River Gorge Bridge to watch more than 100 jumpers enjoy Bridge Day.
It is an annual one-day event on the third Saturday every October to commemorate the completion of the New River Gorge Bridge in 1977.
